About MAG
Cheerful, energetic, tough and of course great walking: that is MAG. A quirky, primal Dutch brand that has become successful thanks to innovative, distinctive shoe designs based on centuries-old craft techniques.

MAG since 1995
MAG's success story began in 1995 with the launch of the Megamok. This innovative shoe immediately captured the hearts of countless young people around the world. Its innovative design, moccasin construction and the fact that they ran incredibly well caused a shock movement in shoe fashion. After the Megamok, many new concepts were introduced such as Queensize, MPS, Sympasneaker, Feet and Empress. The complete history can be found in our timeline: a unique insight into Dutch shoe history.
Meanwhile, 30 years later, MAG's character and soul are unchanged. MAG has grown but refuses to become boring and mature. In a fashion world where everyone imitates each other, MAG remains original and above all, itself. Every day, we work responsibly to make shoes that ‘walk great’ and fit within MAG's recognisable design philosophy.
Great walking
‘Great walking on shoes with guts and character’ has everything to do with the way MAG shoes are developed. Functionality is at the heart of every new design within the collection. And by functionality, we mean every day, all day walking comfortably. When you look at a shoe from MAG, you can already see that it fits and feels great. In addition, each new shoe has to match the individuality that characterises MAG; the shoe that you immediately recognise as typical MAG!
We work hard for the quality of our shoes and our customers are the walking proof. Many of our MAG fans say that once they put our shoes on, they never go off. Of course, we always try to live up to that vision. We invite you to join our more than 100.000 happy customers and witness what great walking feels like.
Warm regards,
Team MAG
Maurice, Moya, Stefany, Corina and Jolanda

MAG is celebrating its 30th anniversary!
MAG is celebrating its 30th anniversary – and so is our icon: Megamok 4001
Immediately after its launch in 1995, this “weird shoe” became the symbol of MAG. A cross between a sneaker and a bootie, packed with innovation but made according to traditional moccasin manufacturing methods. It quickly became the favourite shoe of a young generation. Since then more than one and a half million pairs have been produced.
In 30 years, the world has changed completely, but the Megamok has remained. Forever linked to the first reaction of thousands of customers: “Wow, these are so comfy!”
Over the coming months, we would like to take you through the highlights of 30 years of MAG. We hope you enjoy it.

30 years of MAG design on a single timeline
30 years of MAG in more than 30 shoe concepts
1995: Two men in a van traveling from Amsterdam to the fashion fair in Paris. A bag full of a somewhat strange but new shoe. A trade fair stand with a few crates. The reactions from the fashion world were full of surprise and curiosity. Many retailers thought this could be a big hit, the birth of MAG.
What was intended as a brief overview of 30 years of shoe highlights has turned into a journey through time, featuring an enormous variety of shoes. Each shoe is unique and always typically MAG.

30 years MAG: new shoes with an old look
Browsing through old photos what a wonderful feeling. You might even wish you could turn back time. We did just that. We edited our first expressions with today's collection. Compare the original image with the new one and see how much, but also how little, has changed.
Made in Portugal
All MAG shoes are designed in the Netherlands and manufactured in Portugal. The materials used come from Italy, Spain and Portugal and meet all European Union standards on working conditions and the environment. We have worked with the same factories for many years. They are small-scale but have a great craft tradition. MAG shoes are produced to a high standard but still have a casual and artisanal feel.
